Labasa continued its unbeaten run in the Digicel Premier League after defeating bottom placed Navua 2-1 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Friday night.

The Babasiga Lions went into the fixture as the only team without a loss in the DPL and started strongly in rainy conditions after striker Siotame Kubu nodded in Taniela Waqa’s long drive in the 13th minute.

The visitors led 1-0 at the break. Waqa doubled Labasa’s advantage in the 59th minute. Navua managed to get a consolation goal in injury time through replacement Alfred Ali.

The result pushes Labasa into fourth position on the DPL points table ahead of Ba on goal difference.
