National Federation Party leader Professor Biman Prasad says he expects his party to be in government after the election with a clear vision to develop the nation.
He did not mince his words when he made this known to a crowd in Nadi who’d gathered for a book launch.
“We have a vision to make development a path with the people of this country, without creating division, without creating fear and without any kind of vindictiveness when we get into government,” he said.
“So, my vision for Fiji is of a country where people can work together, that we can all live well, that we can appreciate each other and that we are not vindictive about people who have different views, people who criticise us.
“Also, people ask me what are your plans. And my answer is, first we have to understand where we are, where we are in terms of our economy, where we are in terms of the ingredients of the economy, whether it’s poverty, unemployment or debt level.”
He said he remained steadfast in his commitment to improve the nation’s health services, instil a good quality education system and build proper roads.
