State to facilitate more discussions with Aspen

The Government will facilitate more discussions with Aspen Medical to see how their partnership could be better used to improve overall health services in the Western Division.

Finance Minister Professor Biman Prasad said after his tour of the Aspen Medical-managed Ba Hospital last week that health services delivery has been a concern of the government.

“And if you look at the budget, we paid particular attention to help increase the ministry’s budget,” Professor Prasad said.

“We want to make sure we improve the infrastructure of all our health facilities, including nursing stations and health centres.

“We were able to visit Lautoka and Ba hospitals and understood some of the services being provided.”
